How to Help Your Dog Get the Most out of His Sleep

You may think cats rule the world of sleep, but dogs do their fair share of snoozing too. Most dogs sleep 12 to 14 hours, while other canines may sleep as many as 20 hours each day! That’s why it’s important to make sure your pooch gets the most out of his bedtime routine.

First, make sure your pet has a comfortable place to rest. Although your dog won’t mind curling up on the floor, he’ll appreciate a place that is all his own even more. That might mean a pet bed on the floor or a kennel in the corner.

Try and keep things quiet when your dog is sleeping. Keep the volume on the TV low and ask the kids to go into another room and play so your dog gets restful sleep.

Your veterinary clinic Wake Forest, NC can provide you with more sleepy time tips for your dog!
