Vet Care for Turtles

Is your turtle acting a little abnormal? Perhaps he’s not feeling well. You may need to call a vet. In general, most turtles do not require vet care as much as other pets like dogs or cats. However, there are times when your turtle will need to see a vet. For instance, if your turtle has a respiratory infection or even an injury that requires antibiotics then your turtle will need to see a vet. It is generally recommended that you take your turtle to an exotic animal vet within the first two days of buying him. By doing this, your vet can examine your turtle for any abnormalities as well as record his weight, size, and take routine blood work. This will create a medical history for your turtle in case he requires future care from your most pupular veterinary clinic Derby.
