Why your cat purrs
Your cat tends to purr whenever she is relaxing or getting some attention from you. Why does she do this?
Your pet needs to be able to understand that there are a bunch of ways to get comfortable, and purring may be her way of alerting you to this. This can help her to communicate how she is feeling with you as well and she may be taking part in this behavior in order to tell you that she is calm, content, and comfortable enough to relax in your care. She may do this out of habit, as kittens tend to purr to let their mothers know they are content and don’t need anything at the moment, or she may be using this behavior as a way to self-soothe so she can get some sleep.
