Social Hamsters

Hamsters are social creatures by nature. Some hamsters can be super friendly and greet other hamsters, pets or people on a routine basis. Other hamsters may give a shy greeting as in coming up to smell you but quickly run off after. There are some hamsters that may just be a little timid and shy. These usually show these traits from the start. If you see a shy hamster acting shy then he’s just being himself. However, if you see a very sociable hamster acting shy or scared then there might be something wrong. Most hamsters like to sniff, touch, and play with other hamsters. They enjoy each other’s company and can often be seeing napping together. If you are going to purchase a hamster, think about purchasing a pair so they won’t be lonely.
