Preparing Your Canine for Severe Weather

When you live in an area that is prone to severe weather or even hurricanes then it’s a good idea to put together some type of routine for your family and your pets to stay safe during this times. The basic things to stock up on include items like flashlights, batteries, candles, matches, water, non perishable food items, blankets, etc. When it comes to your dog, you should keep a separate list of things to stock up on. For instance, he should have his own water count. Don’t assume you’ll just share yours. It may be a good idea to keep an extra bag of your dog’s food on hand as well as canned food (with a pop top or make sure you have a hand can opener). Don’t forget to have a stash of toys for your dog along with his medical records and any medications he may need. Click for more tips or call your vet clinic Coral Springs, FL.
