Dogs and Garlic

Did you know that some people believe that feeding their dog garlic will actually naturally eliminate fleas? There are some studies that have shown garlic to help repel flies from animals mainly because once enough garlic is in the symptom the skin naturally starts to radiate the smell of garlic. However, this is probably not the best way to treat your dog for fleas. If you want to keep the fleas off of your dog then you need to talk to your vet about a flea prevention medication. Flea medications often come in a flea and tick repellent form that includes a pill, injection, or liquid application. Some dogs may wear a flea collar to specifically target fleas. Garlic, however, is not the answer. If your dog has a big problem with fleas then give your pet hospital Murrieta, CA a call for assistance.
