Activity Requirements Of Dalmatians

Dalmatians are a highly active breed. They love running and playing in wide open spaces. Being cooped up for too long can pave the way for serious health issues. Your dalmatian won’t have second thoughts about letting you know he wants to go out and play. These dogs are genetically wired to to run fast across wide spaces. They don’t do well in apartment living as they are bursting with energy. They need to engage in various forms of physical activity several times a day to be happy and calm while staying indoors. Lack of physical activity and exercise can quickly make dalmatians bored and restless, which can fuel destructive behavior and other undesirable attitudes. Although the desire to move around and play may taper with age, dalmatians of whatever age shouldn’t be kept inside the home for long periods unless the weather outside is unfavorable.

If you have questions and/or concerns about your pet’s behavior, do consult your veterinarian Frisco, TX.
