Leaving your Older Dog at Home while you Work

Just because you have to be out of the house doesn’t mean that your dog should be lonely or that you should worry the entire time you’re away. If possible, hire a sitter or dog walker to come in midday to let your dog out and check on him. Leave your dog in an area of the home where he won’t hurt himself or get into trouble. Don’t leave too many toys out as he may destroy them all or try and eat them all and hurt himself. Leave plenty of fresh water and food. If your dog will need to potty before you get home, leave potty paper out. Make sure your dog has a bed to sleep in or a sofa to lie on as well. Keeping him comfortable and safe will keep you from being anxious. Talk with your Plano, TX veterinary clinic for more tips. Set an appointment at this link:
