How to Keep Your Cat Hydrated

Did you know that your cat should be drinking a certain amount of water each day? It is recommended that most  cats typically drink between 3.5 to 4.5 ounces of water per 5 pounds of  body weight per day? This means if you have a 9 ounces of water a day  depending on size? For instance, a 10 pound cat should probably be  drinking anywhere between 7 and 9 ounces of water per day. If your cat  isn’t drinking a lot of water then you may need to get creative and help  him out. For instance, consider using a fountain for the water so that  it will keep the water moving. Stagnant water can be a turn off for your  cat. Also remember to refresh the water throughout the day and place a  couple of water bowls throughout the house. Ensure there is water  outside if your cat is an outside cat. Talk to your vet Jefferson, IA to learn more.
