Don’t Forget to Water your Chickens

As the weather grows warmer it becomes more and more important to ensure that your animals have access to fresh water throughout the day. If you’re raising chickens, you will need to set up a water bowl or a waterer for the chickens to access. There are numerous types of watering methods for chickens. You can hang a bucket of water in the coop and attach a spout to the bottom that allows the chickens to peck at it to release water. You can use a chicken watering can that can be filled with water and then slowly releases water as needed. Or you can simply place a water bowl out for the chickens to drink from. Whichever method you choose, don’t forget to keep the water container full of fresh, clean water. In the winter you may need to use a heated watering bucket.
