His weight is light and legs longer than the Basset’s. The breed is also referred to as Fawn Colored Brittany Basset because of its origination in the French kingdom of Brittany. The breed is smart, cheerful, courageous, determined, and a serious hunter. They stand between 12.5 and 15.5 inches and weigh between 27 and 35 pounds. A typical lifespan is around 12 plus years.
