How to Help Your Senior Dog Sleep Better

Have you noticed that your senior dog is having difficulty sleeping? This can be common in senior canines. Why? Some senior canines are starting to lose their ability to determine where they are. Their mind is going and this could cause them anxiety and affect their sleep patterns. Talk to your vet about this and ask for recommendations. If your senior is able to go to sleep but can’t stay asleep, consider changing up his bedding, moving his bed to a quieter spot in the home, or again call your vet for advice. Some smaller pups like the Toy Poodle may have trouble falling asleep due to age. You can simply hold them in your arms and rock them to sleep. Other methods can be discovered here or by calling your veterinarians New Market, ON.
