Birds and Possible Blindness

No one ever wants to hear that their pet is going blind, but in some cases this is what happens. Blindness, for instance, can occur in birds that have received eye injuries or eye illnesses that have gone unnoticed and therefore untreated. It’s important to know what your bird’s eye should look like and to check on them regularly. This way you will know almost immediately when the eye doesn’t look right and you can call your vet and schedule an exam right away. When eye injuries or illnesses aren’t treated, infections can spread or the illness can develop deeper into the eye causing blindness. If your bird does go blind rest assure he will still figure out how to eat and play and he won’t let it stop him. Just make sure he stays under regularly care from your animal hospital Cherry Hill, NJ.
