Where to Board Your Cat
Going away for a while? If so, please don’t leave your cat at home. Sure, cats are more independent than dogs and they even go to the bathroom indoors in their litter box, but this doesn’t mean they can stay alone while you’re on a long trip. First, try to have someone come in daily or every other day to check on your cats, clean the litter box and feed them. If this doesn’t work, look for a boarding facility. Check with your vet for recommendations. Ask other cat owners where they board as well. Look for places that offer crate time and free time out of the crate. Make sure there is a distinct separate area for cats and dogs. You don’t want your cat terrified if he has to stay in an area with dogs.
