The Jack Russell Terrier
If you’re thinking about bringing a Jack Russell Terrier into your home, make sure you’re ready to give him lots of attention and regular walks and exercise opportunities. This small dog was originally bred for fox hunting and has since been used to hunt other game as well as hunt mice on farms and in houses. The dog is known for its wire like fur making him often confused with other types of terriers. The Jack Russell is typically between 10 and 15 inches in size and is considered the middle in the terrier family. Apartment living for this guy is not recommended as he needs lots of room to play and run. If you can ensure he will get regularly long walks and periods of running free off leash in an enclosed area then an apartment may work. Talk to your vets Glen Ellyn, IL to learn more.
