Choosing a Food Bowl for Your Dog

You may not think it’s a big deal to choose a food bowl for your dog, but it could be a huge deal for your dog. Some dogs prefer not to eat out of metal bowls. For instance, a dog that is skittish around loud noises may refuse to eat from a metal bowl because of the clinking noise it makes on the floor or the way his dog tags bounce from his collar and off the edge of the bowl while he heats. Likewise, some dogs can’t be trusted with a plastic bowl because they tend to chew it up after they’ve chewed all of their food. Choosing a dog bowl depends a lot of your dog’s personality type, chewing behaviors, and even his size. A small bowl may not hold enough food for a large dog. Talk to your veterinarian Aurora, CO for tips on choosing a dog bowl.
