Bath Time for Dogs

Does your dog have a habit of rolling around in the dirt and making sure he’s extra dirty when coming in the house? If so, try using bath wipes to wipe away the dirt and clean your dog’s paws. If this doesn’t work then it’s time to give your pup a bath. Make sure the house is somewhat warm beforehand. Have a couple of towels ready to dry your pup as well as a couple of towels for the floor. Place our dog in the tub. Use a bath mat to prevent your dog from slipping in the tub. Turn the water on slowly and allow him to adjust to the sound. Set the water to a lukewarm temperature. Apply a dog friendly shampoo and work up a lather. Rinse your dog until the water runs clear. Partially dry him in the tub then completely once out. For more tips give your local Fox Chapel, PA vet a call.
