Some Common Household Chemicals That Are Poisonous To Cats

Cats are extremely sensitive to certain chemicals. Unfortunately, there are some common household products that contain these chemicals and if cat parents are not careful enough, their pets may have access to these items and the results can be fatal. Two of these products that are potentially toxic to cats are rat poison and ethylene glycol, which is a common ingredient in antifreeze.

The problem with antifreeze is that it’s scent and taste appeal to cats. Unfortunately, consuming even just a teaspoonful of the product can be fatal, especially if treatment is not given immediately.

Rat bait contain ingredients that are extremely lethal to pets. If there are rodents that you need to get rid of, it is a good idea to consider other ways to control these pests, especially if you have pets around.
