Floor time and your guinea pig

You have been enjoying some time with a friend’s guinea pig, and you are eager to bring home one of your own. You’ve heard that they need regular floor time. What does this mean?

Floor time is the term used to describe the time that your pet is outside of her enclosure and being supervised in your home. This generally takes place on the floor to keep your pet safe. Floor time is when your pet gets to interact with you and other family members, have some fun, and get some exercise. It is an important part of every day and should be regularly offered to give your pet the ideal living environment. It helps her get a change of scenery, gives her something to look forward to, and allows her to really have some fun. For additional information, please contact your local Thorold, ON vet.
