Handling your snake

Sharing your home with a snake means that you will have a wonderful companion by your side. However, this doesn’t mean that you will be able to interact with her whenever you want her to.

Snakes tend to be rather solitary creatures and can enjoy their time alone. This means that being handled can take a bit of getting used to for them. They will need you to take the time to figure out when your pet will be the most receptive to this type of interaction and then make sure you are there to enjoy her company in these moments. Start small by picking her up for just a little while and then placing her back into her enclosure. In time, you can work up to longer periods of interaction.
