Finding a Pet Sitter for your Dog

Looking for a pet sitter for your dog? The first place to look is at your local vet’s office. Check the community board for pet sitters. Ask your vet for references to local pet sitters. Check with vet staff to see if any of them do pet sitting on the side. Ask your fellow canine owners who they use. When interviewing potential pet sitters, talk with them about their experience looking after pets and/or owning pets. Make sure they have experience watching dogs and in particular your breed of dog. Invite the pet sitter to go on a walk with you and your dog or get together for a meet and great. Ask for references and always check them. Determine ahead of time if you want the pet sitter to come to your home or if you want your dog in the pet sitter’s home. For more tips, talk with your Oconomowoc, WI vet.
