Brushing Your Dog’s Teeth

Your dog can handle a lot of things on his own, and often seems very independent. However, he also needs your help in a lot of ways. This includes caring for his oral hygiene, as he can’t do this on his own.

Your pet needs you to brush his teeth regularly to help him stay healthy. He needs you to take the time to seek out a canine toothbrush and some canine toothpaste to use when you do this, and to offer him a chance to get used to them before you begin brushing his teeth. Let him lick some toothpaste off the brush so he can get used to the feel and the taste. Start with small brushings, as your pet will need some time to get used to you having this type of contact with his mouth.
