What to Feed a Dog with No Teeth
If you’re raising a senior dog then chances are the dog has very weak teeth or even no teeth. Seniors tend to lose their teeth as they age due to health and other conditions. If your dog has no teeth at all, you will need to feed him very soft and moist dog food. You can feed him regular kibble after soaking it in hot water and making it more of a mash. You can soak it with hot water or a hot low sodium chicken or beef broth. Using a low sodium, broth may make it more appetizing for your dog. You can also try to feed your pup wet dog food. Again, add a liquid low sodium chicken or beef broth to help give it more flavor and encourage your dog to eat it. If this doesn’t work, talk with your North Phoenix, AZ veterinarian.
