Changing Your Cat's Food

If your cat has stopped eating her current cat food it may be because she’s sick or it could be because she doesn’t like the food anymore. Talk with your vet and schedule a checkup to rule out any chance your cat is not eating because of health. Once you find out it’s simply the food, start looking at different foods. Your vet can help you determine what vitamins and minerals to look for in a food. Once you find one, switch your cat over gradually. If possible, feed your cat some of the old food with the new food. This will help her stomach make the switch smoothly. This could help her finish up the old food as well since it has a new taste to it. Over time, serve less and less of the old and more of the new until she’s completely switched over to new only. For more tips, ask your veterinarian Dale City, VA
